sound files were sent to me from a German customer who bought an 18 Watt
ValvePower cage amp. In less than a week he had recorded these tracks
using a vintage Les Paul Junior and Gibson Semi guitars. It took a bit longer to be able to
play like this !! The first track is Claptonesque, followed by Townsendish,
Gibbonish etc. The one player played both the Guitar AND the Bass parts through
the ValvePower amp, no effects were used (and no animals were harmed).The drums were computer generated. The sounds he obtained are typical of the ValvePower cage amp. It will even do clean with a strat or a Tele or even a P90/Humbucker with the guitar volume reined in a few notches. It is also very responsive to pick attack and is pedal friendly. The recording was achieved with a Celestion Vintage 30 and a Shure SM57 microphone in a 'silent cab'. |
